Can Dettol Terminate the Corona Virus? Company issues clarification

Can Dettol Terminate the Corona Virus
Dettol brand is trending on social media for the mistaken reason. Some consumers took to social media to question the claim on the label of the Dettol spray bottle that says it may possibly kill “chilly viruses (human coronavirus and RSV).
Dettol explained there isn’t a proof its disinfectant spray can kill the lethal Wuhan coronavirus after a consumer noticed it on the label and shared its image on Fb.
Dettol manufacturing company Reckitt Benckiser said that although it says its products can kill some coronavirus strains, such as that which causes the common cold, they have not tested it against the lethal Wuhan strain yet.
The firm added it will remain to work to know the virus and test Dettol’s effectiveness against it. “We are working with our partners to ensure we have the latest understanding of the virus, route of transmission and will test our product range as soon as possible,” it stated.
The producer clarified that the label refers to extra frequent strains of the virus which they have examined and confirmed to kill.  The agency added they have donated £5.5 million in money and merchandise to hospitals in Wuhan to combat the disease. And that it will continue to offer support to help combat and curb the outbreak of the virus.
As of Monday, the toll due to the fast-spreading deadly coronavirus amplified to 361, with 17,205 infected cases in China alone.
